Subtle yet haunting. It’s a slow and delicate movie and even though the ending seems really quiet, it punches you in the gut with emotions once you put the whole picture together.

This one should’ve taken home academy awards best picture without a doubt. 🏆

really good but i fell asleep and there’s a shot of his butt i didn’t like and i got confused at some parts of the movie tbh

This movie hurts in one of the best ways. Having a loss of someone important in your life because of depression and suicide can be difficult. Aftersun reminds us that it is always more complicated than we think. Survivor’s guilt is never fun.

Only understood part of what was going on while watching the film, after doing some research for explanation I understood and felt pretty bad. It feels real how Sophie attempted to find out why her dad was depressed through old recordings as if she wasn’t seeing something before

It may seem puzzling, but it’s simple. The reality of the memories, the Pure of Sophie’s character. It’s just something else…

Calem tries to keep living for his daughter, he reads, he masks and tries to have fun with his daughter.

And in the end, there is the last dance. I was crying, I was crying a lot, not a lot of movies can do that…

Yeah I don’t know, I got that the theme was depression and coming to terms with loss and love but it didn’t click for me
